Anyone who’s tried their hand at bookbinding will know that bookcloth is expensive, difficult to source and available only in a handful of (boring) colours. I learned the hard way that trying to substitute regular fabric will leave you with a glue-soaked mess.
But by simply ironing some interfacing (for the haberdashery-challenged like me, this is an inexpensive iron-on lining) onto that funky fabric, you will make it stiff and glue-proof. Perfect for prettifying your magazine files, photo albums and more.

You can glue regular paper (craft or white) on fabric. Then iron it for a while, and use as regular bookcloth!
Another way is bookbinding with paper (craft or white – I prefer white to brighten up fabric colors) then with fabric.
Seriously? What makes the paper stick to the fabric?
Thanks for sharing, I will have to try this one day.
