I know travel photos are outside the normal scope of Atypical Type A but I couldn’t resist showing you some photos of The Man and my honeymoon in New Zealand. I took a thousand photos in just two weeks so I have tried to edit down to just a few favourites that I’ll post in stages over the coming weeks. Enjoy!

We only had one full day in Auckland so we made the most of our time thanks to the suggested itinerary on Design*Sponge City Guide. Dinner at Wine Chambers was the perfect way to kick off our fortnight of feasting holidaying. We started the next day with brunch at Sheinkin (pictured above with the funky lights) with the best eggs benedict (on a bagel with smoked salmon).

Looks like Auckland shares our anniversary.

Views from Sky Tower.

Auckland was very pretty and we had a fun day but I was itching to get out of the city to see the natural wonders.

Seems there’s a lot of Auckland that reminds me of London.. That exterior light fixture in the 5th picture is just exquisit.

  • If you think Auckland looks a lot like London, wait til you see photos of Christchurch!

    It’s only about four hours.
