I discovered this idea B.B. (Before Blogging) on Martha Stewart. So I hope you will overlook the lack of originality and enjoy my take on wine tags.

You can easily identify bottles at a glance without having to pull every single one out of the rack and recording the price means you won’t accidentally pull out that $80 bottle to have with your pizza. They’re also really handy for jotting down where the bottle came from if it was a gift. Sometimes we will share it with the giver, or else we’ll write them a note letting them know how much we enjoyed it.

You could print out a whole bunch and dispose of them once used, or do what we do and laminate them so they can be reused.
