It was almost time to say goodbye to San Francisco but before then we squeezed in a few more sights.
We began with a drive to Land’s End, which, despite its rugged natural beauty, is actually a stone’s throw from the city centre.
Ruins of some old seaside baths.
We then made our way back into the city, stopping off at Alamo Square to see the iconic Painted Ladies as well as many more gorgeous painted timber houses.
Finally, on our way to the airport we took a brief look at The Castro, the famous gay district.
Alas, it was time to bid farewell to the States and our family. But we had an amazing time in California and were looking forward to going to our next stop: London!
