office before

Hmm, I can’t imagine being too inspired in this room. No wonder food stylist and writer Sharlene enlisted designer Elle Uy to transform it into a yummy space.

office after

Gobsmacking, huh?

The wall-to-wall(-to-wall) built-in cabinetry hides all the boring office bits so Sharlene can display the juicy accessories on the oven shelving. A little while back, the folks at Houzz invited me to join their interiors inspiration site and share photos of our home. In case that wasn’t flattering enough, editor Becky asked me if I would like to do an interview along with a house tour. Would I?

Head over there to check out the whole post and while you’re there, browse some of the inspiring Ideabooks on offer. Big thanks to Becky for the opportunity to introduce myself to the Houzz community and for being unfailingly sweet, even when she had to change all of my Australian-English spelling to American.

I am taking some time off my regular blogging schedule during the final days before my wedding and while I’m on my honeymoon. Since you will be at home while I am having the time of my life, I have pre-posted some fun links and great guest posts to keep you entertained.

I can’t emphasise enough what a fantastic resource Apartment Therapy is. The House Tours, in particular, are so inspiring. They feature real people, usually with small homes and small budgets, which is especially good if you are sick of seeing overly styled, unrealistic interiors.
